Logistics Plus Inc., based in Erie, Pennsylvania, has acquired Door Logistics, a software service that automates intermodal shipping functions, from SynchroNet Intermodal Services in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Door Logistics services will be offered primarily to third-party wholesale customers, such as brokers and freight forwarders, Logistics Plus CEO Jim Berlin, said.
“Door Logistics provides customers with a progressive technology that automates the quoting and scheduling of intermodal freight services,” Berlin said in a Dec. 1 statement.
Logistics Plus ranks No. 65 on the Transport Topics list of top freight brokerage firms.
