Longistics, a full-service provider of global logistics solutions, has promoted Malcolm Rawls to director of trucking operations.
Rawls will oversee daily operations of the trucking fleet, working directly with clients to determine their service needs, develop contracts and monitor customer satisfaction.
Longistics said Rawls' promotion is part of a larger growth strategy, which includes hiring more than 60 drivers and introducing new Volvo trucks with the latest technology to its fleet.
Rawls joined Longistics in May as an operations manager with 26 years of experience in the customer service and trucking operations industries.
“We are pleased to announce Malcolm’s promotion, as he has been a great asset to the operations for the company,” said Pat Long, Longistics vice chairman and co-founder. “His success in working in logistics has provided him with the expertise to be qualified for this position, and we are thrilled to have him as part of our team.”
