Mark W. Rodgers, a congressional aide and former Pennsylvania state official, was appointed Nov. 29 vice president of industry relations for the Motor Freight Carriers Association and executive director of Trucking Management Inc.

Rodgers succeeds Arthur H. Bunte Jr. as the lead negotiator and contract administrator for the LTL freight companies covered under the National Master Freight Agreement between the carriers and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. “Mark brings to MFCA a wealth of labor relations experience and a vision for what can be accomplished in strengthening the competitive position of unionized trucking when labor and management work toward a common goal,” said MFCA President Timothy P. Lynch. “He will be a great asset to both MFCA and TMI as we work to improve the economic performance of our member companies.”
