Mack Trucks Wednesday introduced a large new diesel engine and a new truck, which it said was the most powerful truck the company has ever made.
The equipment, unveiled at the CONEXPO construction show in Las Vegas, includes the Titan truck, which is designed for heavy transport and heavy construction applications.
The Titan includes the most powerful engine Mack has ever made, the company said. The big-block MP10 diesel engine is a 16-liter unit with up to 605 horsepower and 2,060 foot-pounds of torque.
Some of the applications the Titan can be used for include logging, oil fields and other severe heavy haul uses, said Tom Kelly, Mack’s vice president of marketing.
Mack also introduced a new Mack Granite Rawhide edition truck, which brings features of its Rawhide to its heavy-duty Granite model.
