MacroPoint Expands Integration with TMW
Freight-tracking provider MacroPoint said it has enhanced its integration with TMW Systems’ TMWSuite transportation management software to provide freight brokers, shippers and third-party logistics firms with greater visibility into load location.
The integration automates several load-tracking processes, such as tracking multiple loads by customer or business segment. It also offers automatic stop, arrival and departure alerts in addition to in-route location updates, the technology suppliers said in a joint announcement.
“The combined solution is ideal for gaining expanded visibility to brokered loads or to loads carried by owner-operators or other third-party drivers,” said Glynn Spangenberg, senior vice president and general manager at MacroPoint.
“Our newly integrated capabilities with MacroPoint mean less data entry and less time spent setting up and managing load tracking processes,” added Brad Young, industry principal for brokerage and asset-light solutions at TMW.
MacroPoint’s software can track shipments through multiple devices, including drivers’ smartphones and flip phones, as well as onboard telematics systems.
