Magnate Worldwide Acquires Domek Logistics

Shipping and logistics company Magnate Worldwide has announced the acquisition of Domek Logistics. Domek will integrate as an additional branch of Masterpiece International, MWW’s international freight forwarding and customs brokerage subsidiary, according to a Nov. 2 press release.

Domek, headquartered in Crystal Lake, Ill., provides freight forwarding and customs house brokerage services primarily to customers in the Midwest. It provides a range of services of international transportation needs, including air, ocean, full-container and less-than-container loads, multivendor consolidations, rail and truck.

After the acquisition, Masterpiece operates 17 offices nationwide. Domek joined Masterpiece on Nov. 1, and the transition will be complete by Jan. 1. This is the fifth acquisition for MWW companies.

“We will continue to search for more all-star companies and expand into major markets with the support of Magnate,” Masterpiece President Thomas Gilgen said.
