Marten’s 2Q Profit Improves

Marten Transport said late Tuesday its second-quarter profit rose on higher truckload and logistics revenue.

Net income rose to $7.6 million, or 34 cents per share, from $6.2 million, or 28 cents, a year earlier.

Revenue rose to $157 million from $151.1 million, the refrigerated truckload carrier said.

Marten Transport is ranked No. 41 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
