Marten Transport said its fourth-quarter profit increased 22.2% as both its logistics and regional revenue improved.
Net income rose to $5.2 million, or 24 cents per share, from $4.3 million, or 19 cents, a year earlier.
Revenue from truckload and logistics operations rose to $136.6 million, from $128.7 million the previous year, the refrigerated truckload carrier said late Tuesday.
Logistics revenue net of intermodal fuel surcharges rose by $4.9 million in the quarter, to $32.9 million.
For the full 2010 year, income gained 21.4% to $19.7 million, or 90 cennts per share, from $16.3 million, or 74 cents, in 2009.
Revenue from truckload and logistics operations grew to $516.9 million in the year, from $505.9 million the previous year.
