SAN DIEGO — Former FedEx Freight CEO Mike Ducker was presented the 2019 Trucking Cares Foundation Premiere Achievement Award at American Trucking Associations’ 2019 Management Conference & Exhibition on Oct. 7.
The award is voted on by the foundation’s board to honor people who positively impact the lives of others and includes a check for $5,000.
“Mike Ducker has spent countless years giving to others, in communities throughout the world,” said ATA President Chris Spear. “He has served as our treasurer and has helped guide the direction of ATA for the past three years.”
Spear said that Ducker, who retired from FedEx last year, also has served on the boards of American Transportation Research Institute and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
“Mike is passionate about the Salvation Army, serving on its board of directors,” Spear said. “Their mission is well-aligned with Trucking Cares Foundation priorities — including humanitarian and disaster relief, eradicating human trafficking and strengthening trucking’s relations with the military and veterans.” — Transport Topics
