M&K Truck Centers Acquires Wiegand Mack
M&K Truck Centers announced the successful acquisition of Wiegand Mack, which adds five locations to what it said is the largest Mack dealership network in Michigan.
Overall, the addition of Sterling Heights, Michigan-based Wiegand Mack increases M&K’s footprint to 13 locations across Indiana, Illinois and Michigan, it said.
“Our acquisition of Wiegand complements our desire to expand our ability to support our customers in the metro Detroit area as well as Wiegand’s existing customers within the M&K footprint," Ron Meyering, President of M&K Truck Centers, said in a release. “We look forward to welcoming all of the employees at Wiegand into the M&K family who will help us continue to provide exceptional service to the customers in the area.”
An authorized dealer for Mack, a unit of Volvo Group; Hino Trucks, a Toyota Group company; and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc., a unit of Daimler AG, Wiegand’s’ offerings align with the manufacturers represented by Byron Center, Michigan-based M&K, which also include trucks from Volvo Trucks North America, also a unit of Volvo Group, and Isuzu Commercial Truck of America.
Additionally, as a member of NationaLease, one of the largest full-service truck leasing organizations in North America, the acquisition of Mack Lease of Detroit will add 50 trucks to M&K’s 700-truck NationLease fleet, it said.
In addition to truck sales and leasing, the Sterling Heights location will offer Mack, Volvo, Hino and aftermarket parts sales, local parts deliveries, body shop, and 11 bays for truck service. M&K said it also plans to expand hours in the parts and service departments.
