New Jersey Truck Association Names Toth Executive Director

Gail E. Toth, an expert on cargo security issues and head of an American Trucking Associations council for five years, has returned to New Jersey to lead her home state’s association.

Toth began her tenure as executive director of the New Jersey Motor Truck Association Jan. 2, replacing Samuel L. Cunninghame, who retired at the beginning of the year.

Toth was executive director of ATA’s Transportation Loss Prevention and Security Council from July 1995 until that council was disbanded in March 2000. Toth then founded the Cargo Loss Prevention Network to continue her work with cargo liability, loss prevention and security issues.

Toth said she decided to take the NJMTA job because “there’s a lot of good things I thought I could bring to the association. It’s a good marriage.”
