New Officers Picked, Awards Handed Out at Conference

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Maintenance Council selected officers for the coming year and honored members for their achievements during its annual meeting.

William Wolterstorff of Sather Trucking in Round Lake, Minn., assumed the gavel March 8 as general chairman and treasurer of TMC. He headed a slate of directors and officers who will serve for a year.

The new leaders were named during the group’s conference, held from March 6 to 9 at the Opryland Hotel. Those who will serve until next March are:
  • Vice chairman — Jim Salas of Ryder Transportation.
  • Chairman of study groups — Duke Drinkard of Southeastern Freight Lines.
  • Chairman of associates advisory group — Thomas Tahaney of Kenworth Truck Co.
  • Chairman of membership and publicity — Sam Cross of Condor Freight Lines.
  • Past chairman — Ken Johnson of KJ Transportation.
