NHTSA's Blair Anderson Nominated as DOT Undersecretary for Policy

Blair Anderson has been nominated to serve as undersecretary for policy at the U.S. Department of Transportation, the White House announced May 10.

Anderson’s nomination heads to the Senate for consideration. He is deputy administrator at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Prior to NHTSA, he was acting chief financial officer at U.S. DOT. Before that, he was the senior adviser for budget and programs at the agency from April 2013 to October 2013. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton.

If confirmed, Anderson would succeed Carlos Monje. Senators have yet to indicate when they would take up his nomination.
