Nissan Diesel America has changed its name to UD Trucks North America Inc., part of a rebranding effort in conjunction with the company’s 25th anniversary.
The name change, which became effective Saturday, follows a similar move by the truck maker’s parent company, which changed its name from Nissan Diesel Motor Co. Ltd. to UD Trucks Corp.
A new UD Trucks logo and service mark are included in the plan, along with new dealership brand identification, the company said in a statement.
Nissan Diesel America, based in Irving, Texas, was founded by Nissan Diesel Motor Co. in February 1984.
