Nolan Logistics is taking delivery of its eighth T-Series pure electric terminal truck from electrification provider Orange EV, the companies said.
Nolan Logistics has been operating Orange EV’s trucks across many 24/7 distribution centers since early 2016, logging more than 8,000 hours to date, Kansas City, Missouri-based Orange EV said.
“Nolan’s deep commitment to electric trucks is changing the way companies view yard management and the pace of adoption for heavy-duty electric trucks,” Wayne Mathisen, CEO of Orange EV, said in a statement.
Jeffersonville, Indiana-based Nolan Logistics is the first yard management and spotting services firm to deploy the T-series truck, Orange EV said.
“Electric is the future of transportation from passenger cars to heavy-duty vehicles. We're growing our fleet across the country as fast as we can,” Wayne Nolan, president of Nolan Logistics, said in a statement.
“Stricter air quality rules, purchase incentives, strong and growing concern for the environment, and the simple economics all make a very compelling case for going electric,” Nolan said.
