The biggest challenge for Perkins Specialized Transportation Contracting was coordinating the work of utility companies to get the massive paper dryers past a maze of power lines.
Weaving two industrial- strength paper dryers from the port of Milwaukee to Beloit, Wis., through narrow roads and intersections and under a web of power lines that had to be lifted by an army of utility workers earned Perkins Specialized Transportation Contracting recognition from the Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association.

The organization presented its Trucking Hauling Job of the Year award to the carrier during a recent meeting in Napa Valley, Calif.
