The Illinois Trucking Association puts the focus of the day’s events on safety, according to Linda Blisset, ITA’s certified director of safety. The organization will place added emphasis on adhering to Scott's Law, named for a Chicago firefighter who was struck and killed by a motorist while assisting at a crash scene in 2000.
