FedEx Freight driver Gragg Wilson is setting his sights on capturing a third consecutive Nevada Grand Champion crown, this time by besting the field in the Straight Truck class on June 1.
Last year, he prevailed in the Sleeper Berth division en route to claiming the overall title and clinching his 13th trip to the National Truck Driving Championships. His first appearance on trucking's big stage came in 2000, when he competed in 5-Axle. In his competitive career, Wilson owns victories in every class but Straight Truck and Twins.

Nevada Champion Gragg Wilson Goes About Winning in a Humble Way
FedEx Freight’s Gragg Wilson, Nevada’s 2018 truck driving grand champion who captured the sleeper berth class, is one of those quiet competitors who simply lets his performance speak for itself.
He was the overall state champ in 2017 as well and has recorded five top honors at the state level. His recent victory will mark his 13th trip to the national stage. His secret to success: Stay focused and keep it humble. In his competitive career, Wilson has victories in every class except straight truck and twin trailers.
His goal is to continue expanding his repertoire and prove to himself he is capable of operating pretty much every vehicle. As he put it, “It shows that I’m pretty versatile.” Going forward, Wilson is contemplating sticking with a specific class so as to master it. Doing so, he said, could raise his chances at a big win at nationals.
