2019 Recap
With seven former Grand Champions in the field, there was a good chance one of them was going to take home the hardware this year, and that's exactly what happened at the 2019 New York Truck Driving Championships June 8 in Syracuse, N.Y.
Martin McMahon of RIST Transport, New York's Grand Champion from 2012, emerged victorious again seven years later, following his win in the 4-Axle competition.
Defending champion David Watson of FedEx Freight successfully conquered Tank Truck this year after winning Flatbed last year.

2019 Preview
When: June 7-8, 2019
Where: Syracuse, N.Y.
Field: More than 109 competitors, including 22 rookies,will compete in nine categories.
Preview: A star-studded field that features as many as seven former Grand Champions will fight for this year's honors. One of those former Grand Champions is David Watson, last year's winner in Flatbed who will try his hand in Tank Truck this year.
Other former champions who are back seeking a repeat run for glory include Gerald Thompson, XPO Logistics (2017); James Kohr, FedEx Express (2016, 2009); David May, XPO Logistics (2015, 2014); Martin McMahon, RIST Transport (2012); Daryl George, ARG Trucking Corp. (2011, 2008); and Mark McLean, FedEx Freight, Inc. (2006).

2018 Recap
Watson
David Watson of FedEx Freight earned his second trip to nationals after proving victorious in the Flatbed division and winning Grand Champion honors at the New York Truck Driving Championships. He finished 21st at nationals. Watson previously competed in Tank Truck and Twins, participated at NTDC in Orlando, Fla., and was named Rookie of the Year in 2015.
Randy Merle of FedEx Freight was New York's top finisher at nationals with a ninth-place finish in 4-axle.
