2019 Recap
Ken Rageth of FedEx Freight won the Flatbed to become Grand Champion at the 2019 Wyoming Truck Driving Championships.
In fact, Rageth's name was all over the leaderboard. He also won the High Individual for Driving award, and took the team award along with Derek Gorrell and Tim Vanfossen.
Gorrell had the highest honor in Written Exam. He placed first in 4-Axle in 2018, and was the state's top finisher at nationals, placing No. 7 in Columbus, Ohio.

Rageth
Mike Roberts of Walmart Transportation won the 4-Axle, and was tops in Pre-Trip Inspection.
Forrest Peters of Airgas USA, the Straight Truck winner for the second consecutive year, was also tops in Personal Interview.

2019 Preview
When: June 8, 2019
Where: Cheyenne, Wyo.
Field: At least 19 truck drivers are expected to compete in six categories.
Preview: There will be a new Grand Champion at the Wyoming Truck Driving Championships this year.
Defending champion Andrew Kelly of ABF Freight will not compete, though he will be on hand as a volunteer. He won the 3-Axle in 2018.
Derek Gorell of FedEx Freight will be back to defend his 4-Axle title. He went on to the National Truck Driving Championships last year and placed No. 7.
Eric Carpenter of Walmart Transportation, recently named 2018 Wyoming Driver of the Year, will be competing in the Twin Trailer class. He will face strong competition from defending Twins champion Timothy Vanfossen of FedEx Freight.
Forrest Peters of Airgas USA will be back to defend his title in Straight Truck.
Seven rookies will be vying to make their mark this year.

2018 Recap
Kelly
Andrew Kelly of ABF Freight System took home the honors of Grand Champion at the Wyoming Truck Driving Championships.
He won in Written Exam, Pre-Trip Inspection, Driving Skills and 3-axle.
His 3-Axle division victory means he advanced to the National Truck Driving Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
He placed No. 32 in the 3-Axle division there. Derek Gorrell of FedEx Freight was the state's top finisher at nationals, placing No. 7 in 4-Axle.
