NTTC to Help Fund ATRI, Anti-Tolling Effort

BOSTON — The National Tank Truck Carriers will spend $2,500 a year over five years on each of two trucking efforts started by American Trucking Associations.

Meeting here at their annual conference, the group's board of directors approved a motion from then Executive Committee Chairman James Shaeffer on April 27 to help fund the American Transportation Research Institute, or ATRI, and ATA's anti-tolling initiative. The combined value of the two contributions over five years is $25,000.

Shaeffer is CEO of McKenzie Tank Lines of Jacksonville, Florida. At the end of the NTTC meeting, he switched his chairmanship to the nominating committee from the executive committee.
