Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corp. said it has acquired CMI Freight-Trans and Steel Wheel Transfer. Terms were not disclosed.
The two companies, based in Orland Park, Ill., are operating as CMI Logistics and specialize in intermodal distribution in the metals market through a network of transload facilities, Odyssey said.
“Bringing CMI into the OL&T family is a significant win for our clients and Odyssey’s continued expansion across different verticals within the Nafta region,” Odyssey CEO Bob Shellman said in a statement.
Odyssey said the acquisition bolsters its existing intermodal network of containers and ISO tanks.
The companies also provide commercial and in-house trucking services to handle drayage and deliveries to railroads and various termination points.
The management team at CMI will remain with the company, Odyssey said.
