Oil Closes Week Over $81 a Barrel

Oil finished the week over $81 a barrel near a two-month high, as investors speculated that inventories could decline next week, Bloomberg reported.

Crude futures finished the trading week at $81.24 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, down about 90 cents from Thursday.

Oil closed over $82 Wednesday and Thursday this week for the first time since Jan. 11, Bloomberg said.

Diesel and gasoline pump prices have risen in the past three weeks. The Department of Energy will report its weekly price survey on Monday.
