Oil prices rose for a third day in early trading Monday on forecasts of higher U.S. economic growth, but held near a seven-month low under $92 a barrel, Bloomberg reported.

Crude futures rose more than $1 to as high as $91.99 a barrel in early New York Mercantile Exchange trading, Bloomberg said.

Oil finished the Nymex trading day last Wednesday at $89.90 a barrel, the lowest closing price since Oct. 21, and diesel and gasoline prices have declined steadily at the pump in the past month.

The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of filling stations on Tuesday afternoon in Washington, because of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday.
