OL International Buys Transitainer’s U.S. Office
Ocean freight forwarder and global logistics firm OL International Holdings expanded its operations serving Australia with the purchase of Transitainer Global’s U.S. office, based in Long Beach, Calif.
Terms weren’t disclosed.
Transitainer specializes in the shipment of air and ocean freight to the South Pacific.
“We are excited to partner with the OL International team and look forward to continuing our long tradition as a leading logistics provider in the Australian market,” said Transitainer President Paul Vassie in a release.

Westbury, N.Y.-based OL International is a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier providing ocean, land and air freight transportation, customs brokerage and warehouse services. It operates through a network of offices and independent agent-owned offices in over 140 countries, and is a member of the Oceanwide Logistics Global Network.
OL International purchased the Chicago-based oversized logistics and hazardous freight firm Orion Marine Corp. in April.
