Old Dominion Freight Line has formed a strategic alliance with Mallory Alexander International Logistics to provide ocean freight forwarding services.
Under the alliance, Mallory Alexander will provide all ocean freight forwarding, back-office and operational services. Old Dominion will serve as a sales agent for Mallory Alexander.
Wayne Bersch, vice president of OD Global, said the arrangement will provide customers access to Mallory Alexander’s state-of-the-art technology and operational systems.
Neely Mallory, president of Mallory Alexander, said the partnership will expand the company’s service offering “across a wider horizon” with one of the top less-than-truckload carriers in the country.
“We expect it will be mutually beneficial,” Mallory said.
Old Dominion, based in Thomasville, North Carolina, ranks No. 11 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of for-hire carriers in the United States and Canada.
Memphis, Tennessee-based Mallory Alexander ranks No. 22 on Transport Topics’ list of top ocean freight forwarders and No. 40 on the list of top airfreight forwarders.
