Paccar Parts opened a new 160,000-square-foot parts distribution center in Toronto, intended to increase parts availability and maximize uptime for customers across eastern Canada.
The facility features voice-activated picking, an automated banding conveyor, optimized pick paths and custom inventory zones that lead to improved quality, productivity and efficiency, according to the Renton, Wash.-based company.
It is a unit of truck maker Paccar Inc., based in Bellevue, Wash.
“The strategic location of the Toronto PDC equips us to increase our next-day deliveries,” said Laura Bloch, assistant general manager of operations at Paccar Parts.

Paccar Parts operates 18 parts distribution centers worldwide. It distributes Paccar Genuine and TRP brands for all makes of trucks, trailers, buses and engines, as well as select original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket brands from around the world.
Paccar’s truck brands include DAF, Kenworth Truck Co. and Peterbilt Motors Co.
