P.A.M. Transportation Services said it lost $315,000 in the first quarter, compared with a $3.3 million loss a year ago.
Per-share it lost 3 cents, compared with a 36-cent loss a year ago, the truckload carrier said late Tuesday.
Revenue rose to $81.6 million from $65.8 million, while logistics revenue rose to $10.4 million from $8.6 million, the company said.
The first quarter exceeded company’s our expectations, President Daniel Cushman said in a statement.
“With the consolidation of all business operations under P.A.M. Transport, we have incurred costs due to this consolidation . . . . We also expect there will be further costs incurred in the second quarter due to these changes,” he said.
P.A.M. is ranked No. 62 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
