P.A.M.’s First-Quarter Loss Widens

Truckload carrier P.A.M. Transportation Services said its first-quarter loss widened from a year ago.

P.A.M. lost $2 million, or 21 cents a share, compared with a loss of $315,000, or 3 cents, a year ago. Revenue gianed 3.9% to $85 million.

The carrier cited a variety of factors for the loss, including poor weather and higher fuel costs.

P.A.M. is ranked No. 62 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
