P.A.M.’s Second-Quarter Profit Rises

P.A.M. Transportation Services said its second-quarter net income improved from a year ago.

The truckload carrier reported net income of $2.7 million, or 31 cents a share, compared with $935,000, or 11 cents, a year earlier.

Revenue rose 9.4% to $81 million, Tontitown, Ark.-based P.A.M. said in a statement.

The carrier said that the average age of its tractors was 1.5 years at the end of the quarter.



P.A.M. Transportation Services is ranked No. 65 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
