Patriot Transportation Holding said its net income rose to $2.6 million or 83 cents a share for its fiscal second quarter, from $1.7 million or 56 cents a year earlier.
Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 rose 7.3% to $38.2 million, the company said late Wednesday.
Transportation segment revenue rose to $32.6 million, an increase of $2.2 million over the previous second quarter. Excluding fuel surcharges, revenue per mile rose 1.1%.
Patriot operates tank carrier Florida Rock & Tank Lines, flatbed hauler SunBelt Transport and a real estate business.
