Penske Acquires McCoy Freightliner

Penske Automotive Group Inc. has acquired McCoy Freightliner, located in Oregon.
The acquisition is expected to generate about $200 million in annual revenue and intended to build further scale within the company’s wholly owned Premier Truck Group subsidiary.
Freightliner is a brand of Daimler Trucks North America.

McCoy adds two full-service dealerships in Portland and Salem and a remarketing center in Portland to Premier Truck Group’s operations.
“McCoy expands our reach to the Pacific Northwest, servicing the Interstate 5 and 84 corridors, and is within 600 miles of our existing Idaho locations, providing us with the opportunity to improve customer service while further scaling our operations,” Premier Truck Group President Rich Shearing said in a release.
Bloomfield, Mich.-based Premier Truck Group now operates 37 North American commercial truck locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Georgia, Utah, Idaho and Ontario that it expects will generate $2.5 billion in annual revenue. — Transport Topics
