Penske Logistics President Vincent Hartnett will retire and be replaced by Marc Althen, the company said Wednesday.
Hartnett will retire in January after more than 38 years working for the company, said Penske Truck Leasing, of which Penske Logistics is a subsidiary.
“Vince has made tremendous contributions to the growth and success of our businesses and established Penske Logistics as an industry leader, and for that we are sincerely grateful,” said Brian Hard, president of the parent company.
Upon retiring, Althen, currently senior vice president of administration and procurement for Penske Truck Leasing, will take the helm at Penske Logistics, the company said in a statement. Althen has worked with Penske for 22 years.
“I am confident [Althen] will lead Penske Logistics into its next successful chapter,” said Hard. "Marc and Vince have worked closely to ensure a seamless transition.”
Penske Logistics, Reading, Pa., is ranked No. 13 on the Transport Topics 50 listing of U.S. and Canadian logistics companies.
