PeopleNet Adds Integration With Canadian Tire-Pressure Monitoring Provider

PeopleNet Communications Corp. said it has integrated its onboard systems with Valor, a Canadian tire pressure monitoring provider.

The new integration enables shared fleet customers to proactively manage tire pressure to reduce maintenance costs while improving fuel economy and safety, PeopleNet said.

“Our integration with Valor gives our customers yet another choice for providing real-time tire-pressure information directly to their maintenance desk,” PeopleNet Senior Vice President Rick Ochsendorf said.

“Proactively managing tire pressure gives fleets a huge opportunity to reduce vehicle maintenance costs and improve fuel economy and safety,” he said in a statement.

Valor, headquartered in Burlington, Ontario, develops and manufactures tire pressure and temperature-monitoring systems for the trucks, trailers and other vehicles.

PeopleNet, based in Minnetonka, Minnesota, is part of Trimble Navigation Ltd.’s transportation and logistics division.
