PeopleNet Offers Compliance-Only ELD Through ISE
Trucking technology firm PeopleNet is offering an electronic logging device designed to help small fleets comply with the upcoming ELD mandate.
The eFleetSuite ELD from PeopleNet’s sister company, ISE Fleet Services, complements PeopleNet’s lineup of safety and compliance technology, including its eDriver Logs ELD application, onboard video, event recording and speed monitoring.
PeopleNet said it will offer the ISE ELD specifically to fleets that operate fewer than 50 vehicles and that are looking for a “compliance-only” system.
“Many fleets do not require a full-featured solution; they just want to ensure that they are compliant with the upcoming mandate,” ISE Fleet Services Vice President Chris Nelson said. “Working with PeopleNet allows us to better serve these fleets and to give them additional choice when looking for compliance-only products.”
ISE Fleet Services is a division of Innovative Software Engineering, which was acquired June 9 by Trimble, PeopleNet’s parent company.
The federal ELD mandate, which goes into effect Dec. 18, will require most interstate carriers to use e-logs instead of paper logbooks to record drivers’ hours of service.
