PGT Trucking Makes Changes to Leadership Roles

PGT Trucking Inc. announced changes to executive leadership in a Sept. 12 news release.

Barret Rea has been appointed chief financial officer with responsibilities for accounting and finance, risk and the oversight of PGT Services. Rea has been a member of PGT’s board of directors since 2016.

Prior to joining PGT in 2018 as the vice president of strategic planning, he was a managing director in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Chicago.

Chad Marsilio has been appointed chief commercial officer with responsibilities for business development and driver-related recruiting. He joined PGT in 2010, focusing on the oil and gas industry. In 2013, Marsilio was promoted to vice president and general manager of Southern Pines Trucking, a PGT-affiliated company specializing in the ground transportation of hazardous materials, including gas and liquids.

Darren Coast has been appointed chief operating officer, accountable for the company’s assets, drivers, facilities and agents. Coast has 25 years of experience in the industry.

The team will take positions immediately and report to PGT President Gregg Troian, with guidance from CEO Pat Gallagher.

PGT operates more than 1,000 power units and has more than 1,500 trailers. PGT Trucking serves the steel, oil, aluminum and automotive industries.
