Pilot Freight Services, a transportation and logistics services provider, said that it has opened its first European location in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

“After years of working with customers and partners throughout Europe, we are thrilled to be opening the first official Pilot station abroad,” CEO Richard Phillips said in the July 14 statement.

The Amsterdam office offers air, ocean, ground and logistics capabilities, the statement said.

“Amsterdam was a logical choice for our first European station,” said Gordon Branov, executive vice president. “Strategically, it’s a great location to access major European and Asian markets. The Schiphol airport and the Port of Rotterdam, are among the largest cargo airports and ocean ports in the world, respectively.”

Pilot Freight Services said that it has about 75 locations in North America and works globally through the World Freight Alliance, which operates in 190 countries.
