Pilot Co. and its guests raised $1.75 million during a three-week campaign to benefit the Call of Duty Endowment, the company said Nov. 29.

Call of Duty Endowment is a nonprofit organization committed to placing veterans into high-quality jobs after their service. Pilot raised money for the endowment by letting guests at its travel centers round up their transaction to the nearest dollar from Oct. 25 to Nov. 15.

“We’re proud to support military service members and their families every day with a year-round discount at our stores,” Pilot CEO Shameek Konar said. “For Veterans Day, it was important that we do something special to not only thank veterans, but also support them. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our guests and the hard work of our team members to raise this record-setting amount for the Call of Duty Endowment.”

Pilot said the amount raised more than tripled its original goal of $500,000. The money will support more than 3,000 service members who are searching for employment. Pilot has partnered with the endowment as a part of its giving-back commitment since 2019. All proceeds for the round-up campaign went directly to the endowment. Pilot also matched $100,000 of the donations.
