Private Truck Group Selects Mover Executive As Its New President

Petty fills a position that has been vacant since September, when former president John McQuaid resigned. Petty’s appointment could breathe new life into an association that has been out of the news since McQuaid’s departure.

Among the areas Petty plans to address early in his tenure are public outreach, education and recruiting of new members. “We’ve got to find the things we do best, that members will support and that the market will be able to bear,” he said of his goals for running the association successfully.
