Project44 will use KeepTruckin’s technology to extract information on truck location, performance and estimated time of arrival so customers can better track their loads. KeepTruckin’s ELD system includes GPS tracking, idle time tracking, vehicle diagnostics and International Fuel Tax reporting.

“KeepTruckin’s partnership with project44 allows drivers to run at capacity while providing shippers confidence knowing their loads will be delivered on time,” said Greg Glenn, KeepTruckin’s strategic partner manager.

Both firms are growing as technology providers to the freight-hauling and logistics industry, and both in April successfully attracted funding to be used for expansion and development. San Francisco-based KeepTruckin raised $50 million in a funding round led by Institutional Venture Partners with participation from Google Ventures and others. Chicago-based project44 garnered $35 million in a funding round led by OpenView, with other investors including 8VC and Omidyar Technology Ventures.
