NEW ORLEANS — As he listed the latest round of product announcements from Pressure Systems International, Craig Smith, vice president of marketing and communications for the tire management technology provider, wanted to drive home a salient point.

“This is not another gadget,” he said. “This is a complete tire management program.”

Smith was referring to Goodyear’s TPMS Plus tire management technology featuring TireView, P.S.I’.s tire pressure monitoring system.

He also introduced an updated user interface for its TireView Live data analytics portal as well an integration with telematics provider Geotab.

P.S.I. made the announcements during a March 3 press conference at the 2024 Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition.

Goodyear TPMS Plus, available exclusively through the tire manufacturer, uses predictive analytics and service capabilities that P.S.I. said “go beyond the benefits of traditional dashboard monitoring.”

The system monitors tires using sensor technology, proprietary algorithms and analytics to help identify tire issues proactively before they become more significant.

Repairs can be initiated automatically through Goodyear’s commercial tire and service network.

P.S.I. also premiered a redesigned interface for its TireView Live analytics portal, making it easier for fleets to filter through various data such as tire pressure, temperature and battery status to focus on critical repairs and prioritize vehicles that have unresolved maintenance issues.

Smith said the enhanced user interface reflects input from many conversations with commercial fleet maintenance managers, who have been seeking ways to sift through the enormous amount of information they are gathering through telematics.

Meanwhile, P.S.I.’s TireView Live portal also has joined the Geotab telematics marketplace. Fleets can utilize the integration by connecting a TireView harness and receiver with the Geotab GO telematics device and harness via a “plug-and-play” installation.

This connection can provide Geotab users with real-time tire information across all assets without the need for additional log-ins.

P.S.I. is a business unit of Clarience Technologies, which acquired the tire management technology provider in 2022.
