Qualcomm Earns $1.03 Billion in Fiscal 3Q

Qualcomm’s fiscal third quarter ended June 26. In the same period a year earlier, the company earned $767 million, or 47 cents per share, on revenue of $2.7 billion.

On May 24, Qualcomm announced it completed its $3.1 billion takeover of rival wireless chip maker Atheros Communications. Many Qualcomm products are used by motor carrier fleets.
