Quality Swings to Fourth-Quarter Profit
Tank truck carrier Quality Distribution reported a fourth-quarter profit, turning around a loss in the same quarter a year ago.
Net income was $5.5 million, or 22 cents per share, compared with a loss of $10.7 million, or 51 cents, a year earlier. Revenue rose 7.8% to $178.8 million.
For full 2011, Quality earned $23.4 million, or 96 cents per share, compared with a loss of $7.4 million, or 36 cents, in 2010. Revenue climbed 8.6% to $746 million.
