“In spending time and communicating with thousands of drivers, we heard loud and clear what is most valuable to professional drivers,” said Ivan Sheldon, vice president of product management at Rand McNally. “Feature overload is not helpful. Instead, drivers want more accurate mapping and navigation, easier-to-see screens, louder voice guidance, and a more durable device that lessens the risk of breakage if dropped.”
Rand McNally said the tablet has upgraded navigation features with 33% more truck-specific road data than other GPS providers.
The company also noted the 10-inch screen has enhanced mapping and graphics. It also highlighted how strong the tablet is with its removable tablet guard, a heavy-duty Corning Gorilla Glass screen and three mounting options. The trucker tools include an upgraded camera for driver, vehicle inspection reports and receipt tracking. — Transport Topics
