Truck technology supplier Rand McNally said it has released updated mapping and additional hours-of-service features for its in-cab navigation and fleet management devices.
The software release, available on Rand McNally’s HD 100, TND 760 and TPC 7600 devices, includes an updated road network and more than 50,000 changes that affect routing, restrictions and clearances.
It also features more specialty HOS rules for tracking hours, including HOS for motor coaches, for trucks traveling from the U.S. into Canada and intrastate rules in three states.
Rand McNally said it has made the update available over the air to existing customers and is including it on all new devices.
The company made the announcement at the National Private Truck Council’s 2014 Education Management Conference in Cincinnati.
