Rand McNally Upgrades Its GPS Software

Rand McNally Co., Skokie, Ill., said it has introduced a software upgrade for its IntelliRoute TND 510 truck GPS unit, which includes updated map data and additional trucking points of interest.

TND 510 units will ship with the upgrade starting in September. The upgrade also can be downloaded from the Rand McNally Dock onto existing units.

Rand McNally also includes new features from the new TND 720 released in June.

Separately, the company also said it has brought back its Large Scale Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas for 2013.

The version was last published in 2010, although Rand McNally continuously published its standard and deluxe atlases.
