Riverside Co. Acquires Midnite Air Corp.

The Riverside Co., a global investment firm with 20 offices in 14 countries, said it acquired Midnite Air Corp., Los Angeles, and will help the company expand its courier operations.

Midnite Air, which does business as MNX, provides delivery services in more than 190 countries through a network of 2,400 independent couriers and 450 airlines.

Scott Cannon, CEO of MNX, will continue in that role and as a “meaningful investor,” company officials said.

Cannon previously announced a plan to grow MNX business in international markets in areas of life science, aviation and entertainment logistics. Last February, MNX purchased same day express/next flight out business of AirNet Inc. and later acquired air charter firm Airline Services Inc.
