Truck dealership Rush Enterprises’ third-quarter net income fell to $8 million, or 21 cents a share, down from $13.1 million, or 34 cents, a year ago.
Revenue fell 20.7% to $413.7 million, the company said Wednesday. Truck segment revenue fell to $392.5 million, from $491.3 million last year.
Rush delivered 1,350 new heavy-duty trucks in the quarter, compared with 1,820 last year. It delivered 919 new medium-duty trucks, down from 1,820, and 936 used trucks, down from 1,032 last year.
In addition to trucks, Rush also operates a John Deere dealership and has a construction equipment segment.
Its construction equipment segment had revenue of $16.9 million, down from $25.3 million.
