Ryder Opens Pre-Owned Commercial Truck Facility in Canada
Ryder System Inc. said it opened a new pre-owned commercial vehicle sales facility in Calgary, Alberta.
The 7,140-square-foot building sits on 1.78 acres and features a reconditioning operation where pre-owned vehicles are serviced to meet the rigorous standards for operating within Canada, the Miami-based company said.
“Ryder is committed to offering the greatest selection of pre-owned commercial vehicles for sale at prices that make sense for our customers in Canada,” Michael Cagney, Ryder Canada director for asset management, said in a statement. “As the Alberta market grows, we’ll grow with it.”
Ryder said it sells more than 17,000 vehicles a year from more than 59 used truck centers across North America, including six in Canada. In addition, Ryder’s international sales and export team helps customers in locations from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean, to Central and South America, secure vehicles.
The company said vehicles that are Ryder Certified have been owned and maintained solely by Ryder for their entire operating life and come with a 30-day warranty and a complete vehicle maintenance history report. Ryder said it also offers Ryder Verified pre-owned commercial vehicles to customers to build their fleets with road-ready vehicles, fully compliant with Department of Transportation requirements at a cost that works for them.
Ryder also said that, with Ryder Reclassified, customers can search through an inventory of “as is,” damaged and scrap vehicles for a fixer-upper option or utilize the parts, with the flexibility of modifying the Ryder Reclassified vehicle to fit their specific business needs.
