Ryder System’s third-quarter profit rose to $75.1 million, or $1.47 per share, from $56.5 million or $1.10 per share, a year ago.
Revenue was flat at $1.57 billion, the Miami-based trucking and logistics company said Tuesday.
Ryder earned $64.3 million from continuing operations, up 13% from $56.9 million in the year-ago period, and $1.26 per share, up from $1.10.
Ryder’s fleet management services unit’s pre-tax earnings rose 21% to $94.3 million, while revenue rose 1% to $1.2 billion.
Its supply chain solutions unit’s pre-tax earnings rose 2% to $31.9 million, with revenue flat at $563.2 million.
